Our upcoming Sunday group practice session will be offered from 10:00 to 11:15am Central Time. Following a brief period of zazen, Tetsugan Osho and Dosho Roshi will offer a talk on The Sutra That Explains the Profound Meaning, Chapter Five, "The Question."
This is the first talk based on the fourth chapter ("The Psychological Dimension") in Tenshin Anderson Roshi's commentary, The Third Turning of the Wheel, pp. 51-53. In the sutra itself, we'll be addressing just the first two paragraphs. You can find the sutra text here.
Early on in The Sutra That Explains the Profound Meaning, Chapter 5, we find the question that is key to this teaching:
